MWM Library @ FHS : Library Policies

Policies and Procedures

GENERAL INFORMATION...

STAFF: The library staff is here to help you with all your research projects and other assignments. Your Librarians, Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Harmon are available when you come to the library! You may see Ms. Lofton or Ms. Goff at the desk... Please feel free to ask them for help as well!

GENERAL CIRCULATION POLICY: You may checkout books for up to 3 weeks before you need to renew. Renewing in time saves you money! We charge $0.05 a day for all overdue library books. You can log in to Destiny with your district username and password and renew your books from there. Items may be renewed unless they are in high demand and/or have been specifically requested by another student, but you may only renew a book twice before you need to turn it back in to the library. Students will be responsible for lost or damaged items that they check out. Students may check out up to five items at once. The library staff will deliver your books to your advisory teacher already checked out to you within 2 school days. If you are absent, the advisory teacher will return the books to the library and you will have to place a new hold.

SERVICES:

PRINTING  - Students should use the printing request form at bit.ly/stprinting  and pick up the print job at the circulation desk in the library. Please feel free to print, but make sure you share a link to a Google document when submitting the form. Also, please preview all print jobs so you will know how many pages will print.

COMPUTERS - The library has limited the number of self-serve print stations to three computers. We encourage you to send all print jobs ahead of time to bit.ly/stprinting. Computer and internet use during class time should be for schoolwork only. All Internet sites you visit should be school appropriate.

During class you must have a pass from a teacher to use the library. Due to space limitations, you may be asked to return to class.
